The NO was for Marincin but I forgot how to code the strike through. I'm thinking one of the Swedes or Dermott beat out Marinsuck.

Grundstrom gets his taste after Rychel, IMO and that would be for Martin's spot.

Yeah, honestly I'd like that too. (Althoufh Polal in amd and Carrick as the 7th. Problem is we need PKing defenceman. Polak is our best so he'll be in the lineup if healthy. That leaves Marincin, Carrick and Dermott for one spot and 7th dman. Makes no sense having Dermott as a 7th. He'll go back and play 1st pairing in the AHL. Both Marincin and Carrick are ok to be a healthy scratch as they are what they are (mostly). Both Polak and Carrick play the right side, so I see Marincin and Polak being paired up.

Obviously can change during the season though

Maybe we end up with a 5/6 of Rosen Borgman/Polak, Carrick and Marincin can eat popcorn...I'll buy.

And I agree that if Dermott isn't at least the 5D with a good chunk of playing time for developmental reasons then send him down to play top minutes.

I recall many people predicting Polak would be the 7th dman at the beginning of last season and he went on to play the 4th most minutes (in total) of any Leafs dman.

I don't mind him. He plays the PK really well and plays hard.

I think there is just better d man ahead of him here. But I'll see in the pre season

ya I was one of those who blew a fuse in my poop at the thought of the Leafs playing Hyman with Matthews & Marleau on the 3rd line.

But n a positive note......

THE LEAFS ARE BACK BABY!!!!!!! F. YEAH!!!!!

And those people are wrong as usual.

The day of the Marleau signing I still had Hyman on Matthews' wing in a mock opening night line-up, and it triggered a dozen people here.
